When clearances are not an issue and cost is, single wall pipe as the interior pipe on a wood
stove is a choice. Under no circumstances should single wall pipe be used through a wall,
in an attic or on a chimney out of the roof. Not only is this not code, but it presents a clear
fire hazard and could cause a fire.
Single wall comes in two types, black painted snap-lock, and black painted welded.
